I went to use my LE Electrolux this morning and nothing would happen! No power, evidently. I played with the cord and it tried to start but wouldn't stay on. Possibly a loose connection? I don't know if it is worth taking to the repair shop. Is this something that I could possibly check and maybe repair?

Cord Reel

If it turns on a little when you pull the cord out then its probably a contact on the reel. You can take those apart and clean the contacts. Worse case might need a part for the reel. Be careful cause most Electrolux dealers will try to get you to buy a whole reel which is $$$$$. If you want you can box the machine up and send it to me and I'll fix it for u and only charge u for the parts.

Thanks guys

Dave - I really appreciate your offer. I'm going to take it to the post office tomorrow to see what it will cost to mail it and may also check FedEx. I'll email you privatetly with the details so as not to choke this thread.

Richard - tried to find you on Ebay but was unable. I also tried cut and paste on your address in the posting but was told AOL was unable to find that address. Are you listed under Electrolux vacuums?
