Hi everyone I’m new here - hoping my old workhorse gets the attention it deserves as a restoration project! 1991 isn't so long ago, is it? 😆

I know a lot of people are very interested in this model which was replaced with the z1460 and doesn't appear on the Electrolux models list on their website so here are the deets:

Electrolux ‘Pulse Power’ Contour Z1450 -
Teal colour, 2-speed 600w with 800w ten-second “boost", and onboard tools including the two-part extension that nests inside itself. All original tools and parts.
See the eBay link for pics which I’ll be updating if it doesn't sell this time!

The filter buttons made it seem…

..that I had to select the date range before posting, I did choose supermarket but then didn't see the eBay tag at the bottom. So it placed it here because I chose 80s 90s.
And now it’s in supermarket too but I can’t delete this one.
Didn't appreciate the rudeness!

Jet3 feel free to ignore Lesinutah. Has a reputation of being a ****!

This model of Lux was interesting. One was nearly bought to replace the vac at the time but was not bought because the boost button was annoying - no concept of lower speed cleaning fine, and it was believed that to clean properly the boost button had to be repeatedly pressed.

New vac purchase was then postponed for three years until Dyson came o to the market in 94.

Thanks, Turbomaster1984, I figured as much!
Interesting! This one was my first machine when I set up my own home in 1991. I was shocked to discover it still in my attic recently and cleaned it up a bit (the bag was still half full and it had my and my daughter's long hair around the brushes lol).
I never had issues with the base speed, as you said- turbo was only needed occasionally 😆
A Dyson DC03 took over until I got my DC14 which is still going strong especially now I’ve finally replaced the pre and post-motor filters!

No

I'm very insightful and help when most people sit on the fence.
If filter buttons are funneling it here who am I to moderate I'm an @$$ who doesn't know who turbo is but everyone knows me.
Keep posting and thanks for explaining it to me.
