Hi there,

I'm new to Vacuumland. I have been interested in vacuums ever since I was little, specifically Dyson vacuum cleaners. So, I'd post a picture of my Dyson DC14 'Animal'

More pics will follow.

(my DC14 is mucky inside the bin, apart from that, it is in perfect condition and is 7 years old and never needed a huge fix or motor change. What do you think of it?)

WOW! I live in the West Midlands! Welcome! :D I am Tayyab, I have the same blue rug in our bedroom too! :D and I have a DC14 Allergy, purple, Dc01 destijl, DC04 lime, DC07, I have or had Dc01, Dc02, Dc03, Dc04, Dc05, Dc07, Dc08, Dc14, and DC25 :D

Thanks parwaz786 ! :D Here's another pic of my DC14 'Animal' with it's mini turbine head, the second one Dyson made which has settings for both carpets and hard floors. So you can actually turn the brush bar off! Unlike the newer mini turbine heads from Dyson.

Hello dysondestijl,

I live in the Leicestershire area of the East Midlands, i'm not going to give my exact location away. But as a clue, I live in the town which is the food capital of the world. See if you can guess ;)

I have seen some of the posts you've made on here and some I have seen the same carpet that you see on the YouTube channel petsandvacuums? Do you own that channel on YouTube? :)

Woo hoo! I feel welcomed :) I need to get me some more Dyson's and soon Numatics as I love them both. Been looking at a DC07 All floors in like a sky blue/turquoise colour, one of the later 'All Floors' variants. It's on ebay for £29 in fully working order and looks to be clean (ish). Apart from that bin!

One day I will get a Henry! But probs a James sooner, as I prefer him to Henry as he is smaller. What do you guys think? Henry or James, which one is better?

I like a Henry better, I want the Henry Xtra, and PS I am Parwaz786 n youtube, and also vaccollectors2010! :D

PS I like your house, it looks soo cosy! :D Mine's not very nice, we have small rooms, but its a terraced house tho so maybe not expecting much :P but I like the 3 story and 5 bedrooms

Thanks for the comment about are house :)Its not big but not small, indeed it is cosy in the winter months when it is cold. Kinda of a medium house. My DC14 Is well suited to it, although on the rug it can struggle slightly picking up smaller debris. The bristles don't dig down that deep. But after a few passes gets it all cleaned up!

True. Anyways, slightly drifting off subject; is the Dyson DC07 All Floors (blue) a good cleaner? I haven't had a DC07 IN AGES! So I've kinda forgotten what the performance is like. I want all my vacuums to run you see and be functional round the home! :) Any info people on the DC07 Performance? :)

the Dc07 performance is same as the DC14, but earlier ones are slightly more powerful, the latter ones are loud! Dc07 is an amazing machine

Ah right. Thanks. Again, the last time I had a DC07 was ages ago way back in 2004/2005. And that was an animal model too! Although it had the very first mini turbine head Dyson made, it was ok, but not that brilliant. The turbine head with my DC14 is so much better. Although I just want a DC07 because it was so revolutionary with that Root Cyclone technology! :)

I love my Dc07 Origin,
I am on my 6th Dc07, I had 2 Allergy Dc07's Blue and purple UK/malaysian I think, but one of them was made in 2002
Dc07 Animal 2007 malaysian
Dc07 All floors with the titanium silver, later model malaysian
DC07 standard X2 both 2001 made british :D
and yh :)

Right then! That's my decision made. DC07 All Floors BLUE it is off ebay (the one I've been looking at). Fully operational, just a bit dusty, that's all. I think it will need a good clean out to be honest, but that is no big challenge! :)

I'm really liking it here on VL. The people here are friendly and always happy to help! Thanks for welcoming me people! :D

I'll post a separate thread to this one when I get that DC07 All Floors BLUE off ebay.

Tim.

No worries mate :D my name is Tayyab btw, if you want my Skype, or Facebook then I will message you if you want it,
and PS All DC07's are the same, apart from non clutched and clutched models, Clutched models are quiet because theres no vibrating brushroll, and the latter Dc07's are loud because of the derooted cyclones, and the white Dc07 has a HEPA, my cousin got a White Dc07 :D
I like the Dc07's which have purple bodies, like Allergy models, Low reach, Hepa+
etc.
I like the Dc07 animal, and Standard too :D I hate buying Dysons with a grey cyclone in the bin, it dont look good, I used my Dc07 origin cyclone for a while, then I decided to put the yellow one back on and WOW! it looks nice! :D

The DC14 is much easier to get up stairs with it's Telescope reach wand system. It can reach high places easily with user comfort. The DC14 is shorter and a little bit lighter to carry

The DC07 doesn't have a Telescope reach system. But it has more places to store tools on it. It's a bit taller and a bit heavier.

Both machines are very good at what they do, vacuuming and leaving your carpets spotless.

I suppose it's what you prefer. A DC07 or a DC14. I prefer the DC14, but I do like the DC07 as that's where the 'Root Cyclone' technology started :)
