Well I know exactly what you mean.

An upright which doesn't agitate the carpet is an upright not worth using in my opinion - you'd be just as well using a straight suction cylinder (canister).
 
cleaning house...

...when i clean house i usually either grab the shark navigator, or lately i have been using the kirby clasic III (not pictured)

Surprised to hear you use the Shark Navigator a lot!! Do they really clean that well? Are they better than Hoover Concept and Elites or do you like it because it is more compact and possibly lighter weight? Just curious. I've never tried that model Shark. Thanks!
 
the shark is an ok vacuum. the only reason i use it is because its so easy and quick to use.
the eureka rotomatic power nozzle, i do not have the canister for it but i do use it for the rainbow. it works 10 times better than the original rainbow nozzle.
 
The Blue Bagged Upright, the one that says Shark I think, were known as Morphy Richards / Goblin Bagged / Bagless Uprights for a while in the UK
