Brad
Thank you! Yes, the Super J has been one of my favorites for years. When I was quite a bit younger, my dad brought home the first Super J I had ever seen and gave it to me since mom already had an Olympia One (which I now have it too). I run that old thing until the motor finally gave out one day. Now that I've actually started collecting them, I have several of that model and in fact I have a rebuilt one I use quite often. My daily drivers vary between my Super J, Silverado, or Rainbow SE.....sometimes though if I'm feeling REALLY nostalgic, I'll pull out my XXX and tear through the house! Welcome to you Brad! It's always nice to see another fellow Kentuckian on here, and I actually work in Paintsville, so I'm not all that far from you!
Mike, while I've never worked in the commercial cleaning business, I do like to keep my workspace half-way organized and clean. I like our cleaning crew, they're nice enough, but I think they're afraid of catching computer cords in the vacuum or something as they only run them in the large open areas. I found that dust bunny family when I first moved into that desk back at the end of October last year and decided to leave them to see how long it would take for them to be disposed of. After learning from a co-worker that they had been watching a dead fly caught in a spider web for over a year and a half, I quickly realized that my bunnies under my desk were there to stay unless I did something about them! I finally figured it was time for them to move on and would be a good test for that Super J. If I'd had the time, I probably would have cleaned under every desk in our little workspace, but the girls started coming in and looking at me like I had lobsters coming out of my ears or something, so I ended up cutting my cleaning short! Give me a good running vacuum that doesn't shriek like these cheap ones you find at the big box stores, and I can get lost for hours cleaning! It's almost like relaxation therapy for me!
