My Brand new dyson

The central dirt tube in the cyclone bin often got blocked, as people only pulled the trigger and let the outer bin empty, without checking the central tube, where dirt would get compacted and stuck together - thus not emptying when the bottom flap was dropped. Eventually this central tube would get so full it would stop the dirt from exiting the cyclone cones, and block up the pre-motor filter constantly. People would not realise why the filter was getting clogged so quickly, and often throw the cleaner out, thinking it faulty.

Thinking about it, I'm not sure whether the very early models had that black seal on them, it may have been fitted as a modification at a later date, possibly if the post motor filter was getting blocked by dirt escaping the pre-motor filter up the relief valve tube. Don't hold me to that though. I've had a few DC07's where that seal was missing, and they are very cheap to buy on EBay.

Whether the seal is fitted or not, it makes no difference to the pressure at which the relief valve opens.

Thanks Dysondestijl! Your Dyson collection is so amazing, better thnan mine I like your DC01 destijl and dc08 animal especilly! :D

Ryan: Okay, thanks I do have some spare filter cases in the shed somewhere though
Gareth: Amazing Dysons! You clean them better than me

Yeah gsheen I agree, you do a good job of cleaning up dysons! I only clean the ones I don't use as if I do clean them then use them it was a waste of time cleaning them lol!

Cool! Cant wait Gareth,

Dysondestijl: I use my DC07 daily now And I just love it clean, I wipe the bin and brush the cyclone and wipe, I just love it clean! The machine is as powerful, better than any other vacuum I used, btw why did u leave youtube mate :(

I dont like origin dysons much, they are so plain, the DC33 is soo boring! just change the cyclone for a different DC33 model lol My Neighbour has the DC33 multi floor, Im suprised how it is coping, loads of people in their house! like us but I use a diff vacuum each time sometimes lol

Thank you for the complements guys, I am very OCD One of the reasons I don't like bagged vacuums is the dust just sitting there festering ( my opinion and your welcome to yours ) I clean out my dyson after each use ( dc42 your dc40) once you get into the habit of it is so easy and fast.I take out the brush roll and clean off all the threads and everything.

But Parwaz - the Dco7 Standard that you show us is the same as the DC07 Origin - its just the Origin is the later version, with a bit less yellow on it, but essentially they are both the same - base models with clutchless brushrolls for carpets only. The Origin models are more powerful on carpets and have a more substantial cylindrical brushroll as opposed to the helical one found on the multifloor clutched models.
I would strongly recommend you replace the brushroll belt on your new DC07, as if its the original one, it will have stretched with age, and will be likely slipping when used on carpet, leading to premature burning and failure.

Thanks Steve again :) I thought the Origin had a later Cyclone aswell? I knew I should have bought the Origin, but I have noticed this Brushbar on my DC07 looks brand new but is soft! is that supposed to be like that? my DC04 silver lime has purple bristles on a black brushroll
