My amazing EPIC eBay purchase!

VacuumLand – Vintage & Modern Vacuum Enthusiasts

Help Support VacuumLand:

I even put a filter inside the bag chamber in case the bag bursts and/or leaks. I also did the same thing with the other Electrolux vacuums (G, L, 1205 & Super J)

Those filters can be found at hardware stores & heating/cooling repair centers; it comes in 20" x 25" & can be cut down to desired size. It even eliminates odors & has 3 layers of filtration:

1. Green layer captures larger particles
2. White layer captures microscopic particles
3. Black charcoal layer captures odors[this post was last edited: 5/4/2013-00:36]

Hissing seal noise fix.

Silicone gasket sealent lube in a tube. As with any rubber gasket the rubber dries out and isn't quite as flexable/supple over time. I've had excellent results using silicone sealent lube on all my vacs rubber gaskets especially my Lux's. Works great on the large rubber motor gasket this really restores suction and apply with Qtip to the hose intake/inlet gasket. Suction's restired & No more hissing from the hose gasket.

Hope this works for you as well.

Lux PN mystery part

What is this part for? Does it lock the PN elbow upright It was clipped onto the PN elbow; but I don't know what this part is supposed to do.

At least the Epic 6500 PN is quieter than the other Lux PNs & TriStar EXL PN I own.
