My Air-Way Mark ll
Great picture. I have never seen an Attacha-carrier for the 88 with the wire loop hanger.
Both my parents and my grandparents had 88's in our family. The earlier one had gray trim on the floor tools with red Air-Way lettering on top of the tools. The much later version had the floor tools like yours with the blue trim and white lettering on the floor tools.
Also the bottom of the fuller brush on the earlier version was metal and the later was plastic liner.
The original matching power nozzle was updated with the white plastic power nozzle because of the lighter weight.
This is a picture of my parents 88. It was earlier and came with no power nozzle outlet. They took it back to Air-Way in Toledo, Ohio and it was refitted with new top shell to accommodate the newly introduced power nozzle about 1974.
Air-Way also refitted the floor tools with the new colored bumpers and electric hose.
Within the last 2-3 years club member and good friend Tania brought me a replacement hose for the machine.
Both Air-Way's work just fine after way over 40 years use.
