I have an old Kirby that I would like to get rid of. I can't see taking it to the dump as I'd rather see it go to some collector who would appreciate it. It still works and I have the shampoo attachment as well. If anyone is interested contact me.

After looking at ebay....I think I'd rather sell it. Someone else contacted me and was interested, but it turned out he was 14 and couldn't even pay for the shipping!!

This 1964 Kirby is actually ----

a 1960 or '61 Kirby. The 1964 model (Sanitronic VII) was trimmed in a tan and coppertone color scheme.

Do you know what years the Sanitronic VII was manufactured? I believe my parents had one when I was young. Also, I am interested in any other Kirby models and their years of manufacture if you can provide it or tell me where to locate it.

Regarding Kirby manufacturing dates

Paul,
There is a website titled "The History of Kirby 500 -Series" by Charlie Lester. It is quite informative.
