...Picked up this mother -- an Electrolux Epic Shampooer. I've tried it out already. 'Tis awesome, absolutely awesome!

Got this before Mother's day, from a friend...

...I couldn't pass up turquoise!

Isn't she a beauty?

(The Quikbroom, not the cat. The cat is a he minus two.)

Very nice finds... the electrolux polishers are so nice. People are starting to want them again for polishing floors too so stock up.

How does the Hoover cassette thingy work.. ?

Then...

...you fold the top of the vac back...you can see the cartridge holding the bag.

And Alan....

...yup, I have to admit, Ben is a nice kitty....I'm rather proud of him, actually. He and Rudy (dog) are my buds! I never thought myself a cat person -- but you know how animals have a way of softening your heart. I love the little guy to pieces.

John, that Electrolux polisher is a great find. Does this one have the cord winder? They do an awesome job!! Did you get all the brushes and pads with it? Ben looks like a neat cat!!

Terry...

...Yes, the 'Lux has the cord winder...and no problems there. It came with one set of brushes, the shampoo brushes, some shampoo, and a furniture duster for a vacuum! :) I priced the nap-lifters on eBay....$80!!!! Yikes!

My carpet is all closed loop, so it's not like I need them.

I had a Koblenz shampooer, which I hated. The torque would flip the darn thing, and the handle was nigh-near impossible to release. Then you had to hold it with one hand while you turned the knob to low or high speed...then FLIP! So a few days ago, I gutted it for its motor, to use on a vibratory tumbler.

This 'Lux is everything the Koblenz was not. Torque is just right, speed is easy, it's easy to control movement. I am most pleased with it.

Ben is a neat cat...and a goofy one! Into everything! But a total lovable sweetheart, very sociable and playful.

John

I so agree with you, John, about the Electrolux triple brush polishers and shampooers. The speed is just right, they are powerful and quiet and they don't fight with the carpet or floor...they tame it with gentle persuasion. :-)

I've yet to see the later Electrolux version you have with the double chrome tube handle but I expect the cordwinder drum that straddles the motor, the transmission and helical gearing are essentially the same as the B 21 series with the folding handle...of which I have a few now. From the start they were brilliantly designed and engineered with clever touches like the solution tank trigger rods running down the handle, the integrated cordwinder, the splash guard and tray and on/off triggered by lowering the handle and the use of three brushes is simply inherently stable. Unlike those other Floorcare Guys' two brush models that try to run away from you or trip over themselves and tip over.
