Wow, well this is hard question really. Many of the machines I spent years looking for I have eventually come to own, but I would say that my Royal swivel top canister with the Royal built PN was the one that had me wanting one in the worst way, but the rarity of them made me think I'd never actually get one. I eventually found one that was an NOS floor model at another vacuum store here in Denver.

My "holy grail" machines are:
Kirby Janitronic
American-Lincoln Super-Sweep
Kirby COMVAC 1300
Kirby COMVAC 1600
Kirby Tradition (with locking headlight cap, two-door speed switch and metal fan)
Royal 618
Royal 606 (5.4 amp)
Sanitaire SC888A
Sanitaire SC899A

Sears Best Kenmore Powermate canister in avocado/yellow, or any green Kenmore canister from the 70s. Haven't found any yet.

Rexair model 3. Made during World War II, for sale only with a doctor's prescription. Model 3 Serial Numbers begin with the number "3" and are six digits long.

More "holy grail" machines in my list:
Montgomery Ward 8000 Heavy Duty Commercial (same as Sanitaire 641)
Montgomery Ward 8005 Wide-Stroke Heavy Duty Commercial (same as Sanitaire 698)
American-Lincoln Super-Vac 180 (1982-84 version of Super-Sweep)

For a long time I searched for a Royal 215. I finally found one at the Goodwill outlet store in nearly mint condition except that it was missing the belt cover. A year later I finally found one but had to buy the whole vacuum to get it. Fortunately the wrong bag on it was just the bag I needed to complete a Royal 606 Comercial model. Here are pictures of both.

Mike,

The Adjust-O-Rite plate I'm seeing on your 1974 model 606 is actually the correct vintage for your 1986 Royal 618. It was only on commercial-grade models produced after August 1986 that had the plastic pull knob.

In 1974, a model 606 would have used the same light blue Adjust-O-Rite plate as the 880, with red "R-O-Y-A-L" lettering.

I would love to find an Electro-Hygiene model 210 tank, Galaxie Prestige 990 upright, big wheel Westinghouse canister, Hoover 150, and a green Silver King (from the early 60's I think).

Smow, there is a maroon Eureka Brandywine at the vendors mall here. I never bought it as I thought $35 was to much. It appears to be in fair shape honestly. I will take a picture for you when I go this Saturday.

My most looked for.....

All my life I have been looking for is a Kirby Classic Omega, Dirt Devil tank, Hoover Convertible and a Hoover Constellation.

Eureka vacuum cleaner bags

Question, what kind of bags does that machine take? Does it take F-G bags? We bought a store called the park store, and in the basement I found 3 boxes FULL of eureka f-g bags. You could have some. I could send you some.
