Wow they look amazing Jake, you've done a great job on those vacs.
Love that Heritage! That bag is so clean :)
That Vortex has come up really well, you've got some great skills there ;)

James

Thank you all for your kind comments, I really appreciate them.

James B- Yes I polished the Heritage, just like all my other Kirby's by myself. Only recently started using an old handi-butler but its a bit scary :P Strange to think I wore my hands out polishing whole Kirby's to close enough that standard. I can't believe I did polish it?!?

The collection is pretty big now, still more models to restore!

Very nice - they all look brand new. When I got my second Heritage 1, it had the handi-butler kit so I polished mine with it and was amazed at the results. Must ask though, do you rub the polishing sticks on the edge of the buffing wheel when its spinning, or onto the metal, then polish that. I found that black bits were flying all over the place off the buffing wheel, it made a mess of the room, but still polished the Kirby OK though. Cant say I like the cloth fill tube though - mine appeared twisted through 90 degrees from top to bottom so I loosened the metal clamp band and turned the top part round so that it pointed to the back of the bag instead of the side. Don't know if that's how it was supposed to be?

Love the triple vortex, the one that Dyson threw his teddies out of his pram over. That's the first time I've seen the internal separator of one.

Cant say I notice much difference with the U2332 to the UK version, but I bet it runs nicely!

Wish my DC04 limited edition looked as nice as yours! - where do you find them all in such unused condition? When I get mine they are in nowhere near the mint condition yours are in. This was how my DC04 looked before I got it:

Hi Jake, some great vacs there, well done! Loving that Vortex - you did a great job with it. I remember lusting after those when they came out lol.

You've also got 2 of my childhood vacuums their too - Mum has both the U2332 and Panasonic MC-E44 :)

Thank you Steve and Chris!

I put the wax on the spinning wheel and yes it does make a mess! Especially when I use other products with the wheel. The Vortex was filthy and probably the worst vacuum I had ever come across. I really hope I haven't given the impression that I pay a fortune for my cleaners! I don't have the money to do such thing! I mainly pick them up from carboots and really enjoy the process of cleaning and fixing them up. I really go for the opposite of unused and do my own restorations and wait for parts to complete them. Hope the vortex shows you what condition I mainly get my vacs in. The turbopower was a great exception. One thing I noticed with the South African turbo power was the hose handle appears shorter then UK models.

Thank you Chris, your Mother had good choice! I have a love for boxy vacuums!
