Hello everyone,

Today I finally got around to taking images of this spectacular vacuum. That's the original factory-installed bag, which I replaced with another genuine bag. I'm storing the original one with the box and packing materials. You can see in the image how after 52 years the bag interlock left a significant dent near the X in Electrolux. I didn't include closeup images of the cordwinder because it's not original and it's been repainted. It adds a lot of weight but I'm a fan of cordwinders, and I'd rather have a non-matching one than none at all until/unless someday I find one with very nice original paint. Also, I didn't include images of the box or the sole plate of the power nozzle because my original thread has images that were provided by the seller. If there are other images you'd like to see short of disassembly, please reply and I will add them.

Model L

My favourite Lux model.

With this model I have always preferred the metal ring on instead of the winder.

I guess we all have our preferences.

Pics look great!!

It’s been a long time

Since I remember Mom’s being brand new like this. They tend to be tippy so be careful using it…many get scratched up from toppling over and dented as well. Mom’s fell down a few stairs once denting it.

That nice unscratched power nozzle cover is fantastic too. So many are a mess from people sliding them under furniture and something scratching the top.

Hopefully you’ll be keeping it as a showpiece.

Jon

Jon, yes it will remain a showpiece

I will use it occasionally in my carpeted model train room, but not with the original hose and accessories. They are pristine and will remain that way. I will use a genuine vinyl pigtail hose with my model G's PN-1 and whatever other tools I have handy. Thanks for your input.
