I found this picture of my Great-Grandpa.
Anybody know what model he's working on?

He is working on a commercial cleaner from Hoover. It is either a model 90, 91, 913, 918...etc. Looks like he has removed the top half of the motor and just has the motor base and handle release. Note the round foot operated pedal to lower the handle. Definitely Hoover!

Model 61

I just got back my model 61 from a guy who still had brush strips as well as motor brushes. He's been in business since 1960, so he still has parts for some of the old Hoovers. I already ordered a new lower motor bearing from Hesco, although the one that's in there now sounds much better with grease. I would like to repaint the base of the cleaner, as it looks pretty banged up like the one above. Does anyone have any suggestions what type of spraypaint I should use? Also, is there any likelihood I might find the original rayon outer bag? Mine is a replacement. Thanks. Mine is serial number 1606605, so it was towards the end of the production run.
