Mini Regina collection

Collector's seem to either love these or hate these. I received one of the first ones for a Christmas gift when they first came out. I had two of the earlier versions and gave them to a fellow collector.

Thanks to two other collectors. I have three L-shaped versions. I remember using one of the grey ones at the church of Christ when I was younger. [this post was last edited: 7/24/2017-21:08]

Was the Regina Housekeeper the first upright with an on-board "quick-draw" hose? If yes, then that really is an important milestone in the evolution of the upright vacuum cleaner.

Not exactly. I remember our church secretary using a housekeeper to clean the foyer during VBS one year. I also remember using it later on.

I'm one of those collectors who both love and hate these. I love them because they are very nostalgic to my childhood and though I enjoy playing with the 7 or 8 that I have I do wish they were better made.
My favorite of the Plus models is the earlier one with the more squared nozzle like the one on the left. I love the maroon color of the middle one. Very pretty.

Sean, one would need a dose of Holy Spirit after using one of these in a church as this vacuum would tend to make one cuss up a storm when being applied in a commercial setting.

But was the Regina Housekeeper the first clean air upright vacuum to have on-board tools in the US? And the first readily available machine?

My aunt had the one on the left except hers was beige on the top part. My grandma had the burgundy one which replaced a Kenmore Heavy Duty. Then it got replaced when the Windtunnel came out. My aunt got about ten years out of her Regina which was proably a long lifespan for Reginas.She
replaced it with a Windtunnel bagless. I remember the brushroll on hers being really loud. I wish I still had them for sentimental reasons.
I do have a Regina 1000 I think it's called but I never use it.

I owned both this model and the model that had the more square like L shaped nozzle. Decent when they have an empty bag but as that bag fills the airflow drops tremendously. Just like Phillip it is a love/hate relationship lol. Now if only hepa bags were made for it I'm sure it would clean better as their would be a better chance for some constant performance.

Reginas!

Here are my Reginas, a model 39 and model 59. First pic is both of them, then the 39 with attachments, then the 59 with attachments. The 39 runs great, the 59 doesn't run. Both need a little polish.
