A postscript.

I am not on the forums as of now, and may return someday. I left of my own choosing. I do miss most of you and that said, may re enter sometime soon if I can. Rather than sending him all the pics I used his screename to put these on here of our little vacuum get together. I hope everyone is well here, and as I can see , that is the case. I do apologide for the pic size. Then again from what I can see we all make this mistake..LOL

THanks everyone for looking

That red Eureka Power Team is a fantastic little vac!

Sorry for being a little obsessed with Consumer Reports, but I loved it when my Eurekas topped the ratings.

This little red Power Team was rated the best power nozzle canister vac in 1974. Consumer Reports even gave it their "Best Buy" award for providing a lot of bang for the buck. I don't even think it came with a Vibra Groomer brush roll - just a basic Eureka "Disturbulator" with red beater bars and black bristles.

And to go along with that, the blue Eureka Ultra you got was also top-rated by Consumer Reports in the category of uprights sometime in the mid 1980's. To me that Ultra is one of the coolest, sleekest designs I have ever seen for an upright vac. In Canada, this machine was more often than not seen as a "Beaumark" vac sold in the Hudson Bay Company department stores.

I remember that the only challenge you really had with this machine was putting it together - you had to really be careful to get the "futuristic" black rubber throat seated properly in the handle below the bag......It also had a weird thing-a-mabob that you needed to attach to the bottom in addition to the front hose convertor when using it for above-the-floor cleaning. I think it was some extra wheel to give it more mobility when using the attachments.

Anyhow - a great upright and canister teamed together! And those other blue Eureka uprights are making me drool!!!!!!

A Big Thanks to Chad and Kyle!!!!!!

Chad.....I cannot thank you enough for your hospitality and generosity. It was great seeing you again and I had a blast going thrifting and meeting some of your friends and roommates. I love the Eureka's you sent home with me and I will definitely post some updated pics of my vacuum collection.

Kyle.....Thank you again for having Chad and I over to see your collection. I want to thank you again for the denim convertible as that has been a machine that I have been looking for for a while. I am glad that you are enjoying your new machines and the decade80 and Penny's convertible should treat you well for a long time. Enjoy:)

Stephen
