Last month, a few of us had a mini-meet in Bothell, WA. Dave from Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan was visiting in the area; Gary S. from Edmonds, WA; Karl and Gary W. from Kirkland, and Jake from Kirkland attended. We had a pleasant time and afterwards Gary W. treated us to dinner nearby. Picture below, L-R, Gary S., Karl, Doug.

Great pics... what's the story behind American Lincoln, news to me. Wonder if they're the same company that make Lincoln welders etc.

Nice

It looks like a fun time. Who owns the Hoover Convertible grey Commercial vacuum? I want one, and haven't seen one in a long time. Is it all original? It appears to be. How far is your area from Portland, OR? Ron

The Commercial Convertible....

My commercial Convertible (in the pictures) was found in probably the strangest swap meet ever. I found it and bought it for 5 dollars, but after taking it home, I reallized why it was 5 dollars. The base was pretty dirty and had some rust issues that I took care of. I can honestly say that it did turn out alright.
:-)

Early model,

That was simply the Kirby Janitronic of the late 1960s, I'm quite sure the American Lincoln was for the Bicentennial model of 1976-1982, replacing your Super-Sweeper/Janitronic* and being replaced by the Com-Vac line. Yes, This was Scott & Fetzer's failed cormercail cleaner. As lovely as it is, they where big, ugly, and poorly sold. all of which leading to the Cormcercail Kirby as we know it's Demise with the final Com-Vacs of 1984. parts are obviously a rarity, and something Kirby wishes not to speak of.

None the less, A very beautiful late 1960s Model you have!
