Milwaukee 2013 Convention Photos!

VacuumLand – Vintage & Modern Vacuum Enthusiasts

Help Support VacuumLand:

Tania, Duane, and Charlie,

Thank you!

From the few pictures I've seen this looks like it was a great convention. I can't wait to learn the details.

Thanks again.

Alex Taber.

Well, WE got home at 4 in the morning!!!!!!!!

Guess who drove back with us? None other than our own John Lucia! He'll be here until
Thursday.
I'll post some pics later.
It was fantastic to see everyone again. We also met some 'newbies'. Tania's home, luncheon, collection were stellar, (NO surprise there).
Duane's shop, home and luncheon were as well. We all were given beautiful machines, and some were for sale as well. His shop (one of three, I'm told) was huge. WE even got a surprise return visit from Mr. John Zeigenhagen. (spelling)? It was great to see him after so long of an absence. The raffle was fun. There were 2 vacuums there which belonged to the late GREAT Terry Lattz. Joe Kassock won a pink Convertible. Our beloved Barb and Sally were there too. More to follow soon. A GREAT TIME WAS HAD BY ALL!!!!!!!

convention

Hi Everyone,

Just wanted to say thank you to all for your kindness at my first convention.

For some personal reasons, I did not come down for the farewell breakfast. But, I just want to say if you are ever in Green Bay, please give me a call or send an email. I will put them in my profile. I doubt if I will ever be able to come to another convention, but I plan to stay a member, and stay in touch.

My best to all,

John Chandler Chan55

Ok, Some more photos.

John Lucia and I are sitting in one of my living rooms, sipping an ice cold beverage, while the dryer is finishing our laundry. WE thought it would be nice to share some convention memories.
It wasn't a very fancy, luxury hotel, but it served us well. The meals at the hotel nourished our bodies well. The friendships, learning, sharing, etc, nourished our souls. It was well worth our 14+ hour drive.

Here's a peek at one of our cleaning contests. Joe Kassock's new HOOVER Wind tunnel Air 2 BEAT , that's right, beat a DYSON.

We had so much fun this year. It was just a nice laid back time with many laughs. Thank you everyone who made it possible. Rick and I got back to St. Louis last night and I got home to Kansas this evening. I let Rick drive home and dang if we didn't hit like 5 tolls. I guess he is cursed with tolls. Ok ok I was driving when we hit the tolls but at least they were different ones...
Barb, Piggly Wiggly will never be the same, Chandler and John thanks for getting lost with me, I will forever think of you next time I go over a one lane bridge on a dead end road, John Long, never forget the alternative use of a fork ;), Scott (indyhoover) where are you from again? hehehe, Paul G enjoy the Royal, Bill aka Mr. Kirby please try and behave yourself you ornery cuss, and everyone else I miss you already! LOVE YOU ALL!!!

One of the highlights of the convention, for me, was the trip to Tania's. She has a beutiful home and an extensive collection. Here are two of my favorites.
