Hi All,
My parents have a yellow Eureka Boss Mighty-Mite at their beach condo. They use it to compliment their Sanitaire upright. The condo is mainly wall-to-wall carpeting so the MM has just been used above the floor. Now, they're replacing all the carpet(with the exception of the bedrooms) with Bamboo floors. My mom asked if I thought she should replace her 4 year old Sanitaire/Mighty Mite combo with one vac than can do it all. I thought rather than go this route, why not beef up her Mighty Mite? Her complaint has always been the EXTREMELY flimsy hose that came with the unit along with the plastic wands. Is there a way to get a longer and sturdier hose with metal handle/wands for her Mighty Mite? The local vac stores have been ....less than helpful to put it nicely. However, if I want to buy a new Riccar upright for her I know just where to avoid! :)

Lukes Sew and Vac are a load of bitchy shop runners. Avoid them. Rude and thoughtless.

As for the hose - places like GoVacuum include a quality 15 foot hose with their uprights and may sell you one that's in a box with all attachments for a good price if you call and ask. There's gotta be a way to obtain a quality aftermarket hose that can be fitted for the machine, somehow.
