I'm trying to piece together a Miele S514 Solaris in black. I just purchased the canister. I already have the wand and the PN that I want to use with it. I also have a Miele Gemini but the hoses are not compatible.

The version of hose that I need is the SES 113 with the external connector for the PN on the handle. These hoses seem to be hard to find since they are discontinued.

Why this particular model?

I used one at a collector’s home in 2012 at the Portland convention and liked the style. Plus, it's the first Miele I've ever used.

Just thought I would put this out there to see if anyone has some more info on where to obtain one of these hoses.

Not just THIS model....

The SES-100 and the SES-105 for the old Miele S200/S300 series were discontinued as well a few years back. Both series were discontinued in 2006 so in Miele's infinite wisdom replacement hoses were offered for long enough.
IMHO the plug in cord with those annoying clips on the outside of the pipe was an AWFUL design harkening back to the 1950's and '60's when power nozzles were in their infancy. Very antiquated way of doing things.
You COULD change to an SES-118 hose and change the wand to the SET-220. Then you could use either the SEB 217, SEB-228 or SEB-236 power nozzle.
Or you could try and see if someone has a good used SES-113 hose. But the reason why most of these hoses failed was because the socket port to plug and unplug the power nozzle cord wore out.

Someone must be watching this forum. Because an SES 113 hose. Just popped up on eBay just now! and I bought it.

Hershel, yes I agree. I could have bought the SES 118 and used my Gemini PN and wand with it. I wanted the handle style and external plug of the SES 113. As with most collectors I have my little quirks! Thanks for pointing out the SES 118 is compatible.

Always funny when covert-ops sellers pop up with exactly what you need out of nowhere.

I won a Royal commercial vac off eBay that had no bag door and then no less than 3 days after winning it someone put up a bag door, exact match part # in the exact same color and only wanted $10 for it. Absolutely crazy luck. I was certain it would be 20 years before I ever found that part. lol
