Found this Miele today at a goodwill, $12.99, was pretty badly scuffed up, but went to town with a magic eraser and it's come up close to new! I'm surprised at how powerful this thing is... Had been co side ring buying one brand new, but really wanted to play with one for a while first to see if they're any good... Will consider hunting now for a powerhead to suit it and see how it goes on the carpets...

PS - never used a magic eraser until today, man, those things are freaking amazing!

I think it's in need of a new steel plate for the bottom of the head, if anyone is selling one, I'd be interested!

I note that every one of these I've ever seen has the two speed motor, this one has a variable speed, pretty sweet!

Wow!

Nice find, Streakers! What really caought my eye are what the decals saye and in particular it was made in Germany. I cant seem to find the Miele Sick quite like yours, it's made somewhere else and I have to pass. Congrats and do tell how well it works.

So good to see. Thanks for sharing.

I sold mine many years ago - just watch out for dirt that might fall out of the bottom fill bag before the floor head - Miele refuse to make the same kind of self seal for these older vacuums, although the U.S and other markets may well have them. IN Europe and UK we have to put up with pull seal dust bags from the old IntensiveClean style. Miele have changed the colour but haven't done much of an update to the bag design itself.
