Hi everyone I'm looking to buy a miele s7580 But I noticed back in 2009 there was a thread about a Hoes issue I was wondering if anyone else's had that issue But it's been almost 5 years and I think it must have been fixed and updated
I've had my S7 about 2 years, and it was an ex-display model when I got it. Its one of the early 2008 models that sat in the shop window for a few years. Its not had a lot of use here with me, but I've never experienced that problem with the hose collapsing. Besides, if you get an S7, you will have warranty, and you often sell your cleaners on anyway, long before any guarantee would run out.
Oh yeah, definitely - I've never heard of collapsing hoses on an S7 before you highlighted that thread. They are very good vacs, but very heavy, and quite tall. They weigh about 10Kg, so not sure whether as a young lad you'd be able to manage using one?
Yeah that's what I thought I tested one in currys they do look like very good vacuum cleaners.I'm a very tall For my age And only 13 and almost as tall as my mum and dad And she's pretty tall. To be honest I don't think it's that heavy
You should go for it was a pretty good vacuum I got rid of it Because I Have a red one And I I've goneoff vintage vacuums I'm more of a modern vacuum Person
The S7580 is the top of the line model, and quite expensive, but you can get an ex-display or graded item for about £250 with new ones from about £320. Miele charge £400 for them.
Its got all the bells and whistles, and Roger does a good review of this machine on his channel:
Have you not thought about an S8 Uniq? They really are the best cylinder vac you can get - they have LED lighting underneath and on the handle. They also have suspension and air filled tyres, and velvet trim.
I found a lot of places That sell it for 299 And John Lewis will Price match it So I might get it from there And ao.com have it to the same price i Can afford it but I'm not hundred percent yet so I'll probably decide in a couple days Now I know That is no issue any more Yeah I have seen Roger video watched it like three times Fantastic review I just hope he will put some new videos up
Just make sure you keep your proof of purchase and also make sure you register the warranty with Miele within 30 days of buying it - that way if there is a problem Miele will sort it out. I bought an S6220 and the bristles started falling out of the turbo brush roll, so I phoned Miele and they sent me a new turbo brush within a week - but you must register the vacuum with them.
That's the S8730,, and miele are selling them off for £170 - that's where I got mine from and it has the remote handle, dynamic drive wheels, and auto power off on parking the floorhead on the cleaner. It also has the HEPA filter and filter change light, and the overheat light that the Uniq has. Its a bargain at £170
I'm not into Dyson I'm afraid - I prefer the German machines, they are better built and have bags, which I also prefer. Although I have 7 Dysons, they are old models and now in my loft as I don't use them.
