after cleaning.
The strange thing with this vacuum is thet the switch/power adjustment on the handle grip also adjust the speed of the powernozzle. Never sees anything like this.

Dear Guy,
well, probably it's a matter of Karma but more probably is a matter of luck in this case;-) waking up early on sunday morning to go to he market as soon as possible (so as to find the best before others see it) sometimes reserved me very interesting vacuum finds, others it was just a waste of sleeping time. Yesterday was a god day, so was last week when I found the Toshiba and the Turbomaster...
the most important thing about this vacuum cleaner is that I paid it 10 eur( 12 $) and after a good cleanup I put it at work. I already had another model of this series, S 234, in brown/cream which was probably the best selling because of its features and its "impossibility to break".I'll post the original brochure, as suun as I find it!

Heh, That dates it nicely... the turbobrush saying "made in west germany" rather than made in germany. I myself have a vacuum cleaner from EAST germany, ya know Erich Honecker and his communist uber alles ;p heh, its branded Hollandia although it was probably just branded that for the UK shop that sold it, I believe it is from 1973.

We did in fact have this model in North America. I lived in Las Vegas for exactly a month, and I had one just like this, except it had the L-Shaped power nozzle. Tommy, I was also intrigued by the speed switch controlling the PN, too.
When I moved out of Vegas, I left the vacuum behind. Stupid, I know, but I was in a bad relationship out there, and I figured that if I brought it with me, it would just remind me of that situation. Too bad, it was a GREAT vacuum.

I have gotten into Meiles too-now have five-A White Pearl,Red Velvet,Capricorn, S4000,Art Roses.The S4000 has a true Radio remote control switch in the hose handle peice-you can plug the vacuum in and hold the hose in your hand on the other side of the room and start the machine--visitors find that interesting.Its a useful little vacuum as well-most powerful compact cansister I have used.Its supposed to have the same motor as the Capricorn and Red Velvet.Love those machines-The Meile dealer here got me started on them.also have the SEB#236 powernozzle-use it with the Capricorn or Red Velvet.Now I got to work that OT at work to pay for these.but love 'em.and normally I am not a "canister" person.Usually use uprights.
Miele ahs used 3 different motors.....
When they first came out in the US they uased Lamb motors. Later they started using a motor built by Domel which looks similar to the lamb, and now they are using another Domel built motor that Miele calls the Vortex motor, which is what all of the newer models (except for the Plus) use.

My Meile Red Velvet,Capricorn,S4000(Orion) have the "Vortex Force" motors.These motors are SINGLE fan-they can generate the same air movement as most older two fan motors.The dealer and I took apart one of the machine to see.Well made motor.The center of the fan air intake-the fan blades are taller than the trailing edges of the blades.Kirby fans are like this too in the newer "G" series machines.Come to think of it-beleive the Meile "Art" sereies upright vacs have "vortex" motors too.
