Hey guys, I was wondering if anyone has ever heard or used one? I was really intrested in the concept when a giid friend of mine told me about it but I couldn't find one anywhere. Pictures or videos would be appreciated!

Don't buy!!
I bought one when I first got my Miele canister, it performed superbly for 2 months, made my carpets look great but it started to cut out and loose charge after 10 mins. To cut a long story short I had 3 replacements. After the third one packed in Miele gave me a turbo brush and a full refund on the powerhead.

I may have the instruction book around somewhere, will have a hunt for it.I don't know the model number off hand, it was a few yrs ago. I have heard other people had the same problems. Pity, because when it worked it was a great piece of kit.

The model is SAB 100-3. Paul's experience is very common with that model, unfortunately.

The local Meile dealer tried the rechargeable Meile powernozzle-he wasn't impressed and neither was I It was pretty anemic.The one the dealer had died-battery would no longer hold a charge-he sent it back to Meile.No more heard from Meile about rechargeable powernozzles-the idea sounds great-the nozzle could have been used with any Meile vacuum that didn't have an electric hose.So sad the idea just didn't work-maybe it could be tried again with better batteries?

In the UK the cordless rechargeable one goes under the name/product code of SAB 110-3, suitable for the S2000, S4000, S5000 and S6000. I'm glad you brought it up though as I was about to buy one of these, but probably won't bother now.

Oh ye of little faith. I'm sure Miele may well release a stronger, longer lasting battery in time. In light of cordless stick vacs running out of puff early on, the Hoover Linx/Vax Linx and current models from other brands who are using longer power run lithium batteries are much better than what went on before.
Depends on the amount of dirt you're cleaning up with, at least Miele have something here compared to other brands like Hoover or Electrolux that don't offer the option of a powerhead with its own power on board, even if you have to charge the battery when it runs out.

Well, the problem with manually powered air driven turbine brushes is that eventually they begin to slow down dependent on the kind of machine you have. if its electric then it's constant - and with the cordless idea you have a lot more power than air driven/manual alone, even if it is dependent on the amount of time you charge up the battery.

In Europe, it's known as the SAB 110-3 due to the battery charger input voltage and plug. The actual powerhead (and its batteries) are identical and its sticker refers to it as SAB 100/110.
The attachment is made by Wessel Werk and it actually has a very clever design compared to the generic Wessel Werk battery powerhead. If its sensors do not detect a combination of suction and movement, it will not function and just show a green light. Start moving again (with the vacuum on) and it starts up again. This helped to conserve battery power.

I just wonder why miele discontinued for EU market many canister model swich featured electric power brush with electric hose and electric direct-connect telescope wand to pn. Probably the request for those models was very low over here, probably those who have wall to wall carpeting prefer a good upright. But Mile canisters are very good, powerful and quet. why not giving the chanche to have a power nozzle like the ones that were available in the USA???? I tried the accunova as well but it didn't do a great job on my carpet, or at least it did it for a few minutes, then it started running lower and lower until it comletely stopped. UNUSEFUL:

I think the electric PN's did exist in the UK but only on high spec older models using the smalled FJM bag. Well before the S5 ever came out. As you say though it's all about market forces. Miele don't sell those nozzles anymore other than what is currently available on the UK website, but I'm not at a loss of thought to why they don't sell them - clearly it would snatch sales away from their S7 uprights. Miele's current argument is that they don't make any of their cylinders with a longer amount of cord because, again it would steal sales away from the S7.

Longer cords on reels...
are problematic. They require larger reels, stronger springs, and are more prone to failure.
As to the battery P/N. I said when the Shark 3x battery powered sweeper was introduced it would make a great power nozzle.
