Hi Brian - the tool holder is one detail I'm not keen on. I like tools which store on the machine, period! I don't like hose-mounted tools on Dysons, and I don't like them on Mieles!
It's definitely a 2-hand job to change tools, they fit on pretty snugly. The vario-clip does attach relatively firmly to the cleaner, though, and it can clip on either side of the hose connector, so you can alter the position if you have the cleaner standing upright.
The dusting brush has synthetic bristles (although to be fair, I think you'd really have to be scrubbing at something with them to create damage). Also for such a large amount of money, you do NOT get either a large or a small turbohead, and the cleaner comes with the most basic 'free with a pack of bags' Super Air Clean filter. For a £500 cleaner, I'd really be expecting to get all of those, especially considering the HEPA- and mini-turbo-equipped TOL 'AutoCare HEPA' S7 upright costs £375 and under, depending on where you buy.
You're really paying for the Hybrid technology alone - whether that represents good value for money comes down to how useful you'll find the cordless feature.
Gary - I see Shanon has already answered your question.
