I spent much of yesterday at the beautiful new Miele Gallery in Cavendish Square, London, for a preview of their latest cleaners, the Hybrid S4812, and the Eco Line S4212.
Based on the S4, the Hybrid introduces a new patented technology which allows the user to switch seamlessly between mains and lithium-ion battery power, allowing cord-free reach. Battery power output is a max of 600w, and lasts up to 20 mins. Great for doing the car, stairs, etc...
Also based on the S4, the 1300w Eco Line uses a redesigned floorhead to achieve the same pick-up as the 2200w models in the range, using 900w less power.

I think the concept might be better served on something like their stick vac, on a "grab and go" basis - but for that money you should be able to afford enough sockets, or at least an extension cord LOLOL
