Hi I don't know know if the part in my microwave is a blown fuse in the picture that I post but my microwave just stoped working and I wonder if this is it.

Thanks for the info

That's the Magnetron, it's the bit that emits the microwaves into the cooking cavity.

WARNING: Your in serious danger of getting a LETHAL shock if you open the outer covers.

Microwave repair should be left to qualified engineers, with the correct test equipment.

Go along with Tech12--don't remove covers on your microwave unless you know EXACTLY what you are doing and the HV hazards in there. At how inexpensive microwave ovens are now-just chuck the old one and pick out a new one!And with ovens that have the ceramic magnetron tube as shown-don't handle the tube-not only HV hazards but the ceramic peices are POISON if you breath any or get cut!The purple color shows this-also the matrial can be white. The parts are hazardous if the tube is broken.Intact not so bad.

Thanks tolivac.

Microwaves are so cheap now that people don't even bring them in for repair any more.

The only Microwaves we see nowadays are the big commercial units.
