We really did.

Sometimes the impromptu things are just as much fun. There's very little time to prepare for them, though. The night before, I made a Crock Pot of sauce and meatballs.
I'm really just about ready to get back into more painting, wallpapering, molding, etc to continue the progress on the house. A LOT more will be done before Christmas, please God!

Tyler!!

Yes, that vacuum does match the stripes in that chair, and the Karastan carpet. Red is a predominant them here in the house. But, fear not!! There are plenty of blue, green, yellow, pink, etc HOOVERS here to coordinate. Anytime I repaint, redecorate, etc.. there's a HOOVER ready to match. Isn't that part of the fun of it all?

I'd say that's part of the fun of it. And with a good sized collection of Hoovers to choose from, you really can pretty much do it in whatever color you want.

I ran your beautiful Hoover Elite IV (the one in the center in that picture of the 3 canister vacuums) when I visited John in Pittston. That is an excellent machine. I wish Hoover still made good canisters like that.

Glad you enjoyed using that Hoover John!!

That machine would not be what it is with out the help of several other collectors/ Vacuum Dealers. The suction unit was fixed by Joel and Chris. I got the power head from Derreck whom I've met on vacuum sites on Facebook. I think it's a great machine as well that turned out excellent thanks to the help of several others.

I wish Hoover had a current canister on the market with similar features. I'm not a fan of the combination style tools. I like full sized tools stored on board on units. I like the sound of the older Hoover canisters. Most of the newer suction units on vacuums sound about the same brand to brand, they're very high speed, inefficient and higher pitched annoyance sounding almost. They just don't make things like they used to. To top it off, there are electronic boards in all of the junk now. Why can't we go back to regular wiring on/off switches and all variable speed, 2 fan motors.

No you don't have to tell me the answer to that. Every company is trying to cut costs. In doing so they cut corners and quality. It's a term a FilterQueen that we refer to as Planned obsolescence.
