Anyone out there have one? I'd like to know more about them. I've already gone through their site but I can't seem to find any consumer created content on them.

Take a look at Amazon . . .

as people not only buy them there but also quack back what they think. Metropolitan has been around forever and ever. Check consumer reviews and prices at amazon.com to see if one might fit the bill for you. Good luck.

I used to have one, but I gave it away when I moved last year. They are very powerful vacuums. The exhaust on mine was so strong that it propelled the vacuum away from walls!

Metropolitan vacs

These are a good example of the "stovepipe with a motor in it" tank vacuum. They are simple, powerful, dependable vacs with a cord, switch, motor and bag in a metal housing. They have used good fit all attachments from the period they were made.Metropolitan also makes small version for cars and blowers for pet grooming, etc.I have an extra tank in the place of which we do not speak that is same size and shape as above but wrapped in woodgrain vinyl from 70s.It might need a new home if anyone is interested.
