love 'em!

Two of my favorite modern canisters. The quality is impeccable and performance is even better! So very sad though that Oreck discontinued the DutchTech line.

I have the Dutchtech 1400 as well and will say if I only had one canister w/power nozzle to keep, it would be it. Nice long hose, machine on/off on the handle, excellent Wessel-Werk power nozzle w/headlight, and so powerful, I have to turn the slide to the ECO setting when vacuuming the wall-to-wall. I don't care for the clip-on hepa filter and I wish either Oreck or another bag company would make cloth bags for it, although the genuine Oreck bags seem to do well keeping dust contained in the bag well, and they're from Germany! The replacement for the Dutchtech is what I'm sure is from TTI as it's toooo similar to the Hoover Anniversary Windtunnel canister, and we're already expericencing some service issues with them. The Dutchtech 1400 sold for 899.00 and we sold plenty of them. Now that we're selling Miele in the Oreck stores, it doesn't take much to sell the Miele against the Oreck canister, unless price point is an issue.

Vac-O-Matic

Did I read this properly? Is TTI making the Oreck Quest Pro? I tried an Oreck Quest Pro in store, it seems like a nice powerful unit. I like the power head. What I don't care for is the hose. Its the same hose as on the Hoover Anniversary Windtunnel canister. Uncomfortable grip, not very flexible and short.

Is the Oreck Quest Pro having repair issues, the Hoover or both? Do the repairs seem to be user related abuse or is it part failures?

Very curious. Thanks
Rob
