Misspell on Magyver? No idea. Do I get kicked out for improper fix of a late model Blue Magic? Electronics shorted, put push button switch on top. It works, owner did not seem to care, $5 fix. Hers is years newer than mine, blue and black, where mine is blue and silver. The quality does not seem the same, mine is made in Korea , hers in China. Did not like it.

MacGyver would be disappointed you didn't spell MacGyver correctly... :P

I'm not a fan of electronics in vacuum cleaners, makes them too complicated to repair, so for me, there's nothing wrong with you bypassing the electronics with a simple button, I think that would be considered a "Redneck repair", or more PC, a bit of "Southern Engineering".... :P

"What does "MacGyver" mean??"

You have never seen MacGyver??? Get yourself onto Amazon and buy the entire MacGyver collection, Now!!!! :P

(In short, he's like a woman, he can make anything out of nothing, except he does it for good)

The man can make anything out of nothing! Hairpin? Can overhaul a car I am sure. Clever, somewhat based on truth I think.Making due with what you have also works there.

MacGyver can make an A-Bomb out of a toothpick. He can make a robot out of a paper clip and a piece of chewed gum! He was a great TV show. Not like that crap thats on TV nowadays.

mmm, guessed I missed that show. Don't even recall the name.

Re the men-vs-women control panel above, I'd have to say it's more likely just the opposite... men love gadgets and pushing buttons, while women generally could care less.
