What great fun to view these old catalog pages. Thanks for posting them! Would that all vacuum cleaner companies and each of their subsidiaries back in the day had had catalog lines with full-color photographs.

I am astounded at the tiny price difference between the Hoover Junior and the Hotpoint. The Hotpoint always used to be so much cheaper than the Hoover if, for example, one purchased it in a shop. I realised that club-books always charged more than stores as they had to cover the cost of the financial terms on offer, but even so, the difference in price between competing products was normally proportionate.
