Sighs. I found this 2+ months ago when I was getting my list of antique vacs on FB marketplace post together. I got very excited, as it is incredibly rare, and offered to pay twice the offered price, plus whatever the shipping cost would be if he were to ship it(shipping price will be very high, it has a long broomstick handle). He said yes, but after waiting 2 months for him to pack it when he gets home from work, I'm done with this. If anyone near Bloomsfield PA sees this, this vac can be classified as a holy grail vac, and as far as I know, is the only one known to exist. The only patent from the myriad of vacuum patents from Rosenfield that illustrates this particular model was the first one, originally filed in 1910.

That’s the one the rest of patents are to

Patented 1913. That one has a Third wheel, a fan access cover, and the bag tube runs next to the wheels instead of above them.

A snippet from "Electric Cooking, Heating, Cleaning, etc. Being a Manual of Electricity in the Service of the Home"

(Don't you love those old timey book titles?)

Very interesting read, btw. Free on google books. Written by an upper middle class British housewife in like 1914, I believe. The author is actually credited as "HOUSEWIFE" lol

It's a nice window into the past, when electricity was still something brand new and infinitely exciting. It's also nice that it was published in the UK and in America, so she speaks to readers on both sides of the pond.

Ah yes! I found one of those in a pic in a British museum. Looks like the only cosmetic difference is that that has an attachment port.
If you don't mind, could you post pics of the rest of that section? I see something called the Diamond, never heard of one before!

For anyone curious...

Here are the rest of the vacuums from the book. 2 of an early Frantz Premier, and the Diamond. The Diamond looks like a modified version of my Brilliant, and seeing as it is "of American origin", it could be the improved version.

There are a couple more, called semi-portable. I suppose that means they're like canister vacs without wheels.

There's a full page ad for the Frantz on page 354. And one for the Cleveland on 372.
