Lux wheels & side bumper removal from 1453 help

Hey people, I was wondering if anyone could please tell me how to remove the 2 side bumpers & wheels from an Electrolux Canister Special Model 1453. I'm attempting to restore a Brown model I got used from e-bay along with parts from the one we've had since it was new (an early 80's, I think, "Silverado" type Special model 1453) but I can't find any instructions or schematics. The wheels, I believe, you have to remove the center piece first but I don't know how to do that with out destroying or marring them. And with the side bumpers I have no clue.

Wheels-Carefully push the 3 tabs from the back side of wheel and then pry caps outward.
Bumpers-Warm first (over furnace hot air vent,hair dryer,leave in hot car in sun,etc)and then carefully move flat screwdriver around edge toward ends and push forward until it is loose from retaining clip,slide off.
I am very close to western NC with many Luxes,parts & MORE.

Hey Jimmy, Thanks a lot

for answering. I got the wheels off OK. As for the bumpers, I'll try them in the morning. But just so I am clear, they slide off (after heating) toward the front (Bag Door) of the machine? I'm in Granite Falls, NC, I may be interested in some lux parts. Have you got a website or something where your merchandise is listed?

Electrolux

The bumper fits same front or rear.After warming insert flat screwdriver at bottom edge near either end and move bumper about half inch to release from tip of metal strip that holds it,then slide off.
I am sometimes in Boone,Morganton,Hickory and nearby for a half day 'vacation' of thrift stores and more.Will be back through at least by end of year.Have you seen the museum in Granite Falls of glass bottle vending machines.He also restores,leases machines,and sells glass bottle drinks.I saw it once when passing through.Amazing!!

Hey man no I have not seen

the museum though I've heard of. I'll try to check it out. Thanx again for the help. I finally got time to work a little on the vacs. I got one of the bumpers off so far with minimal damage. Easier than I originally thought.
