Hi all, I'm interested in locating the correct crevice tool for my circa 1960 Electrolux Model AF. I have multiple turquoise and beige/white versions of the newer one pictured below, which, I believe, made its first appearance with the 1205 (?). And I have the one older, flatter, harder plastic crevice tool (below) from a Model G, I believe. Can anyone provide a brief description of the Lux crevice tools from approx 1940-1970? Photos would be great. And if you know where I might find/purchase the appropriate one for my AF (gray plastic, I believe), please let me know. Thank you!

Thanks, Dysonman. That looks familiar. Hard to tell, but I assume that the Electrolux logo is stamped into the sides. Those must be impossible to find today.

Not impossible to find

I was able to pick one up from eBay sometime in the last few months.  Mine has the Electrolux logo stamped into one side.  It appears to have been factory painted in a semi-gloss (not hammertone) blue that matches the shade of blue on my E and AE.  I didn't know any of these came that way, but I can't imagine an owner going to the trouble of finding matching paint and then painting this tool.

That was the shade of blue they also used with the LX and LXI. They painted all the colored fiber crevice tools except the black ones.

My parents had a black one

Would it have come with their prewar XXX?  I don't recall ever seeing a colored crevice tool in their house, and they also had a late model E that they bought in mid-1956.
