VacuumLand – Vintage & Modern Vacuum Enthusiasts

Help Support VacuumLand:

Thanks, Doug. I think it is so great that Bob has clear pictures in his files to post of the Red accessories - now they are in my reference files, too. I need wonder no more and it gives me the hope that one day I will stumble across the red wand and the PN. :-)

drool...

Say Doug, can you identify this vacuum cleaner Hamper I found the other day? Generic or specific to one brand? I will have to restore the top but the lower vinyl is in perfect un-marred condition now the mold spoor has been Magic Erasered off.

Hey Dave:

Actually I think it was a kenmore one. Chatham Fabrics made chests for all the major companies (Electrolux, Filter Queen, Compact, Sears, Eatons, Rexair etc) as well as record chests.

Vacuum Storage Chest

Dave, that's one nice looking storage chest. I seem to remember (from younger days) a few of the Lux variety among members of my family...I'm going to have to pay them a visit.

The burgandy Lux with white trim

What year was it made? My next door neighbour Mrs French had one in the early 70's.
I never see pictures of it in the POD, was that a Canandian colour combo?
I don't remember hers having a powerhead or the wire running up the hose, maybe she just never used it. She had more hard surfaces and low pile carpet.Mrs French was a 4 foot nothing woman, as tall as she was wide. I can still see her tramping up the stairs with that Lux in her hand. She was a cleaning machine.
