I used to have a passed down 20 year old Black and Decker 12V one my parents gave me. It was just brilliant but it began to lose power year after year until one day, it completely died. I tried another charger plug on it, but it was the battery and not the battery charger. Now replaced with a much lower powered 7.2 V Vax Kone. I know that abusive lab test video on You Tube slated it, but for kitchen crumbs I find the Kone to be of value and its a shame Vax no longer sell it in the UK. I bought a white one at a cost of £15-95 and its brilliant. I would never use a cordless dust buster to pick up "damp kitty litter," as shown in the link below.
