Looking for external power cord for Elux-O-Matic 89

One of the metal prongs on my Elux-O-Matic 89 somehow got bent and when I tried to straighten it it snapped off. It is the external power cord that runs up along the hose to the handle. Does anyone know a website that might have a replacement cord or a compatible cord plug that could be attached to the original cord by cutting the broken end off? I have a friend who's an electrician so he could cut the broken end off and put on a replacement fairly easily.

Rather than repair the old hose powerhead cord, it might be better to just replace it. Go to any vac shop, ask them if they deal with JohnnyVac, & order this part I linked to below. For just under $14 plus tax, you are back in business with no jury-rig repairs.
