Hello, I have been in a Hoover mood for a while. I am looking for Hoover juniors (which you all know), and Hoover Convertibles. If anyone has these available, please let me know.

Thank you
-Thomas

"Original"????

FSC3 - I hate to be the Devil's Advocate on the Esty ad - but that 425 is far from original. It's a rebuilt 425 - not original bag, identification plate, base is painted, and motor cover looks repainted.

Hey toddk13

The collector I got my Hoover 425 from assured me
it was an original and unrestored 425 Special.

I realize that "Special" means a rebuilt 425.

The bag is identical to ones I've seen on other
425's, Special or not.

If anyone is interested in buying this item from
me, I'm willing to sell it.

I'm certainly not trying to mislead anyone, and
I choose to forgive your insinuation.

My apologies. I have a number of Hoover specials. I could not wrap my head around a factory altered vacuum as being “original”. Your ad was not misleading as you represent it as an original 425 special. Too many years working on cars where something is original only once.

Tough to beat a good Convertible. I use one just for fun on a couple of carpeted rooms I have. In college I had the one without the light and a snap button bag....I like this one better in function. Not saying they perform as well as a Royal or Kirby (I have a Royal), but there's just something about the sound and balance of an old Hoover....probably nostalgia for me.

Old hoover

There is a Hoover 700 from 1926-1929 good shape $135 pretty sure it's special and original. She inherited from great grandparents.
