Looking for a cordless vacuum...

Hi I was just wondering, is there a cordless vacuum that can be detached and used as a (cordless) handheld vacuum, and the handheld portion has a flexible hose extension to reach into tight spaces? I only need it for light vacuuming purpose, but I do not know if there exists a vacuum with those 3 features. Thanks a bunch!

Yes there does, the Dyson cordless sticks, such as the DC59 or DC44. They have the motorised floor brush and the Animal versions come with a small motorised brush.

The tube can take attachments, and can come off for use as a handheld. They're very light and comfortable to use.

Dyson sell a flexi crevice tool, which extends and has a bendy rubber tube. This will fit the cordless, because I've tried it at work, at it works brilliantly!

Yes, I was also going to suggest the DC44. DC59 if you want more power.
You can get the additional handheld kit which includes the soft dusting brush or up top tool? Mattress tool and the stubborn dirt brush along with a stretch hose. The vacuums come with a 3 year guarantee but are excellent machines

I too would suggest the DC59, which can accept all of Dyson's click-fit tools including the optional stretch hose. Works very well, but at full retail is incredibly overpriced for what it is. If you can find one at a price you're happy to pay, great, otherwise I'd be looking around at other options.

If you can forego the cordless requirement, the corded Metro Vac is a nice little handheld vac with a long cord. It's kind of like a mini cylinder vac. You can use it as a handheld, or add the flexible hose and other attachments. The hose end is a standard diameter so you can add any off the shelf vac attachments you may need. Metro even sells a version with a turbo nozzle attachment. Made in USA!

thank you very much for all of your replies. I'm researching on all of those vacuum. I can't believe I walked by the Dyson many times in the store thinking to myself, what a weird grass-trimming looking thing. Anyways, since we are on the subject, may I ask are there any cordless handheld vacuum that comes with a hose attachment (does not need to be used as a stand up)? Many thanks again!
