A older lady came in a few weeks ago and had a cloth hoover bag with holes in it. It was for a model 28 I asked her how long sence it was serviced. she sed it had ben a long time. I told her to bring it in for service and I had a new cloth for it. the last time it was serviced was 1957 it was in bad need of a grease job and new brush strips, cloth bag and cord. she loves the dusting tools for it. but the hose was shot, so I put a new hose on the old ends. I had fun working on this as model 28 hoovers are my fav. It felt good to work on somthing good for a change, getting sick of wallmart junk that comes in all the time. but I still get in older luxes and hoovers and eureks form time to time.

Nice!

I'm working on one of those right now actually. Don't have a bag for it unfortunately, but I do have the bag retainer. Just finished working on the motor tonight....had to undercut some of the mica on the commutator, but she purrs now! Needs new brushroll though....which is turning out to be a PAIN to find anything for. I'm afraid I'm gonna have to resort to trying to rebristle the one that's in it. I don't want to have to do that, but I can't find parts for this thing ANYWHERE! Getting to be kind of frustrating.... I'm hoping the work pays off in the end though....

top sleve bearing

need to be replased. a convertbile bearing will work but you need to drill out the rivets and use the old housing.
