Hi Everyone!

Robb Castaldo has given me a wonderful Lewyt Leader. I really am pleased with its suction and the way it looks! I have a hose and 2 wands for it. I was curious if anyone had some extra attachments. I am on a tight budget being 14, but I am willing to pay. Thanks!

P.S. Do it with Lewyt!

Re: Attachments for your Lewyt:

I bought a Generic Set of Attachments from a local Singer Sewing Machine Center. I paid $19.95 plus Tax for them and for my needs, they work real good. I took my Lewyt Vacuum Cleaner with me, to make sure that the Attachments would fit. There was something about the opening on the Vacuum that the Guy at the Singer Center did a make-shift of a Collar attachment, for the Hose to fit to, to either make the opening larger of smaller, according to the Attachment Hose Size.

Kind Regards and Cheers, Steve
Electrolux1960...

Yeah, I want something original. I like a vacuum with most things original. If it is not original (except for the hose) then I normally don't use it on a regular basis. Like if I get an Electrolux, then I want to use Electrolux stuff, but it always makes my day when I find matching tools. Thanks!

Yeah! I can get 'em, but they will be of the vacuum taken apart. I am working on the motor right now. I will get them very shortly. It is a green big-wheel. That is all it is, I think. Thanks!

Congratulations! So you have a Big Wheel! I too have not heard it referred to as a Leader. We all just affectionately call it a Big Wheel. I have a bunch of Lewyt tools in storage so let me go look next week okay? You say its green huh? I will get back to you next week, but please still take picture of it for us, even if its in pieces so i can see the color.

OK! Thank you so much Marty and Fred and Steve! I will definitely take pics for ya'll. (yes I am southern!) But anyway, Leader is the name of the vacuum. It is printed where the dial is on most of the other big wheels. Thanks again!

WOW

I have never seen this model either!

I have seen the green and gray two-tone big wheel, and the all-green one with the white hose and attachments and gold trim, but not this one.

Lewyt experts, is this a rare model?

Yes, that is the boxy one. I have a 93 Lewyt model. Yes, I would be curious to know if this one is rare. I am still working on the motor. It is a pain to get apart! Any advice?

Hey Marty,

In your stash of extra Lewyt attachments, would you happen to have a pair of wands for a model 40 (round, silver-gray cannister that used cones instead of bags), or above the floor tools for a model 90 (the Golden Lewyt), or instruction books for either one of these? If so, let me know what you have, what you need for it, etc.
Thanks,
Jeff
