While reading about the Lewyt Big Wheel on the internet, it dawned on me that the vacuum did not have a handle to carry it up and down stairs. Am I missing something here? How did the user carry this Lewyt when wheeling was not a possibility?

The Big Wheel was very nicely styled with the carry handle recessed in the center of lid.To carry you reach under the rectangular nameplate much as you would carry a Dirt Devil Can Vac.A great vac that could be sold today if updated.

Aha...I see...never knew that...can’t really tell from photos and I’ve never seen one in real life. That certainly answers my question!

A word of warning though. I try to avoid carrying them by the handle. The old lid catches tend to stick not quite in the locked position and, if it pops open while you are carrying it, it will break the hinge off.
