Very interesting seeing those cars which we didn't get over here. Also interesting regarding the Americans driving over here. They either find it an "experience" or they find it terrifying, driving on the "wrong" side of the road. Still, we at least have the steering wheel on the "right" side
It is more interesting actually. I know that during the cold war, when there was a lot of US personal based here in the UK, a lot of them brought over there massive Cadillac's, Chevys and Buicks, because a Ford Anglia or Austin Mini simply would not do ahaha! As it turns out, they were simply to big and far too thirsty to run over here, even when fuel was the equivalent of 14p per litre!
One of many spying posts jointly run by GCHQ and NSA is based in RAF Menwith Hill in Yorkshire, and there are apparently a lot of car accidents in and around that area, possibly due to Americans forgetting what country they are in. No seriously, that is basically the reason. No one admits it. There are actually more NSA members at that particular site than British personal.
