Kitty Years?

Only ever bathed my cat once, and having watched videos of same on Youtube, was expecting it to be a struggle of epic proportions. Much to my surprise, he didn't act up at all. To be honest I think he just resigned himself to his fate, in the hopes it would be over and done with as soon as possible!

We think he's 15-16 years old now, so getting on quite a bit. No signs of slowing down just yet, but all the same, we are very mindful to make the most of the time we have with him. Originally he belonged to a client of mine, who brought him over from the USA; when his job moved back to the States, he decided it would be best not to put the cat through that ordeal again, and asked if we would consider adopting him. We jumped at the chance and he settled in very nicely.

Since they have dawg groomers...

Why don't they have A Pussy Parlour?? If your pussy's in the mood, have it clipped & then shampooed!!?? Kinda catchy now ain't it...... LOL oh & I am unanimous in that now where have I heard that before?? Hehehe

Yankee Kitty

Yep, all the way from Houston. Even I find that flight to be a bit of an ordeal, so for a kitty who doesn't know what's going on around him, it must have been incredibly stressful. This is why we are determined he shall see out the rest of his days in peace and comfort.

Being declawed (not my doing, it's illegal in the UK) we keep him inside all the time for his own safety. He's perfectly happy with a sunny windowsill, a spot to watch the fish tank from, and someone to knead on in bed at night. We talk and interact with him a lot, and in return he is very vocal and affectionate.

The hair, though! Very little dust and dirt in the vacuum bag, it's nearly all puddy tat fluff. We do have to move the beds and clean under them regularly, otherwise it looks like a second carpet down there. How he manages to shed so much without going bald is beyond me.
