Here's one of very few appliances I've actually bought, paid $20.00. Has a solid top with lids like a coal/wood stove, but burns gas. Been using it since 1996.

NEAT!

I love to see people actually using old stuff!!What kind of control is that on the box to the right, ????

I added an oven thermostat when I cleaned it up in 1996. I had seen the stove on the porch of an antique shop for about a year, and asked about it just before the proprietor was going to scrap it. I got it for the same price the dealer paid: $20.

I have a deep appreciation for well built simple equipment that does it's job. I like to have input as to how that job is done, without electronic interference. After 50+ years using ancient tools & equipment in the skilled trades I now spend summers demonstrating how this stuff was used.
