Over the years of collecting I have came across several Kirbys boxes. I would imagine owners keep the box to store all the attachments it comes with, in my experience the average owner doesn't fuller utilize everything the Kirby comes with. I have only come across one other vacuum that was in its original box. It was a Vax canister, also a machine with lots of attachments.
I have two boxes that I bought the entire machine with and the others where when someone got rid of the box and whatever random parts happened to be in and I was able to pair it up with a machine I had. The G3 was the latest, it had an almost unused set of attachments, the shampooer, and all the original documentation. I've never seen a Kirby surface nozzle that had a steel bottom plate. The G3 I had was in a poor shape I'm tying to clean it up a bit to match those nice attachemnets. Since I'm short on room I've been storing the machines in their respective box to save space. If I want to vacuum with a Kirby I use my latest and greatest model which happens to be a Sentria.

The Sentria box was for sale at goodwill, almost takes a nut to buy a box lol. I think it did have some attachments with it I don't really remember it was the empty box I wanted! Since I use the Sentria as a daily driver the box is storing my 2001 Limited Edition G6

Kirby boxes

Nice(& complete)Kirbys!
I have always thought Kirbys should be collected, and used,as complete outfits with boxes. If anyone else agrees and needs boxes, hoses, atts, polishers, shampooers, etc, etc I have MANY from 50s,60s,70s & later that need to GO!
Best if you are close enough for easy drive to east TN but might be able to take to UPS later.
