Hi all, the week before last, I received a phone call from a man telling me he had a Kirby Tradition he wanted to sell. He and his wife had moved to a really nice development just north of me. He described it and told me what he wanted for it. I told him I could not afford that price where in he asked me what I would offer. I responded that I did not want to insult him with a much lower price. He still wanted to know. He agreed to half! I have always wanted one of these. I met him and his wife in their beautiful home in a luxurious development. We went out to the garage and there it was, still shiny, the blue box of attachments, some bags and the original instructions. She told me it was now too heavy for her to move around. So they bought a plastic vacuum.

It is in such great shape, I could tell they really cared for it. Minimal wear mainly to just the wheels. I removed the bag to find, of course, the conversion emptor plug, tube and bag dock. After laundering, it is as good as new (to me). Here are the pictures.

I really am happy I got this and would like to say, not only is it a keeper, but I hope to be done collecting. *grin*.

It's okay, you can come out of the Kirby Closet and profess your secret affection for them. No one will judge you.

I took the time to take pictures finally......

and I forgot to straighten the bag garter, I mean guard. Actually used it today, terrible noise turned out to be a bad brush roll. I had bought a set of Classic III attachments which included a brand new brush roll, so that was a breeze.

Sounds great and does the job.

Did I hear before on here that the strongest suction is with a straight to shake out bag?
