Does anyone make anything that smells like the original,I have about used up my last bottle????

I think Kirby

still makes the original scent.. At least when I worked at Kirby they still made it besides other scents. I think you can get it from the Kirby Factory Parts department. I should call their 800 number and order some, I am almost out as well.... Good Luck Dan

Thanks..

Now I will have to find a Kirby office, In my hometown of Lenoir the Kirby office was owned and operated by Buell and Janet Pearson, two wonderful people who always encouraged me and saved old trade ins for me, Janet did all the service work and taught me many things, among them how to buff a Kirby, she used a Handi Butler under the workbench, later, when They would go on vacation, I would go by every day or so and do their service work, Buell died and Janet sold out the dealership, and I lost my Kirby connection, but ,even though I collect mostly tanks and canisters, I have a soft spot for Kirbys, because of those folks, they never thought I was odd or strange, but rather the attitude was, "Oh great, someone who is interested in what we do, how great!", They started selling Kirbys in the mid 60s when Buell was getting ready to retire from the Army, in 67 he did retire after 20 years, and moved back to his hometown of Lenoir, almost instantly they filled Lenoir full of Kirbys, winning several cars, trips etc for their efforts, I remember in the early 80s they won a new Cadillac! and of course they had the Gold Kirby Omega! As far as I know Janet is well and doing fine in retirement, they always dealt honestly and fairly with everyone and I believe that was the best lesson a teenager and young adult could have ever learned!

Hi

Hi Hans, What a great story. I like hearing stories like this.
It goes to show there are some really nice people in Kirby and not all pushy, nasty, greedy people as some would have you believe.

My friend Ken who was a Kirby distributor helped me with my collection. Both with working on my machines and information. Plus various free limited edition items:o)

Odorific sold on Ebay

I usually get my Odorific on eBay. Sever sellers offer the original scent at reasonable prices.

One seller I purchase from goes by the eBay seller name of "kirbyfans" I've delt with the owner Kent for many years, as he has many parts I need for my vintage Kirby's.

His vacuum repair shop is located in Utah and good prices on vintage vac parts & ships fast.

Odorific

Hans,I found 5 bottles with red on the labels while cleaning the area of shelves that had empty spots after your last visit.2 are empty/dried but at least 2 others have original seal. Will put near the you know what that is reserved for your next visit.,Jimmy

I hope..

To come get the You Know What, either this weekend or first of next week...Everyone really needs to go see Jimmy , I would bet their are more rare vacuums in his shop than anywhere else on earth...for instance, my last trip netted 4 Kingstons and one Kingston built Coronado....He is reasonable too.

Odorific...

Is still made and comes in 3 different scents. Are you refering to the old scent called Sweetaire. It has not been made for quit sometime. It really was the best in keeping smells out of the vaccum and using it in the home.
