Does anybody know how one would go about with converting lets say a Classic 1-CR to use disposable bags, using genuine Kirby parts (not the Tradition fill tube, tiny little thing), but still keeping the original Sani-Emtor for originality?

I know but I don't have time to tell you at the mo as its very late but....
use a tradition emptor,Heritage top of its emptor but attach a heritage II fill tub and fill tube top so you can use the new hepa bags But use the classic emptor tray bottom.
Hope you under stand what I mean.
But you would need to have a new zip but in the classic bag so you can change the bag easy:-))

Hope you understand what I'm trying to say..

Hope it helps.

I understand. :)

I've been on the look out for another Classic bag so I can but a zipper on it. Maybe I can take out the canvas Sani-Scraper pocket and replace it with a durable cloth so I can put scents in it?

Bag conversion...

The Heritage I did have a Sani-Emtor, with the fill tube & disposable bags or the "pocket" bag. It would only need to swap to the round top adapter (possibly also the fill tube), thus compatible with the new filtration bags.

It would have the "gray" finish coating on it though. I have never paid any attention to what's under the coating, maybe if removed it could be polished or plated with a chrome finish.

I have converted several of them, (with the gray Sani-Emtor though). Genuine Kirby parts ONLY!!! (LOL)

Or... attempt the "Tradition/Heritage I combo" described above.

Hope this helps.

Bill
